Organization of the 20th FEBS Young Scientists’ Forum

FEBS has appointed the Croatian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (HDBMB) to organize the 20th FEBS Young Scientists’ Forum (the “YSF”) in collaboration with the Slovenian Biochemical Society (SBD), with support from the Congress Secretariat, Dekon Kongre ve Turizm Hizmetleri A.Ş (“Dekon”). By applying to the YSF, you are indicating your acceptance to the terms and conditions set out below.

Eligibility and use of FEBS YSF grant

For YSF applicants selected by the YSF Committee to take part in the YSF, FEBS meets the cost of registration and accommodation and some travel costs for the YSF and Congress, as set out on the YSF applications page, through a FEBS YSF grant. By applying to the YSF you are indicating you meet the eligibility criteria for the event and will abide by use of the FEBS YSF grant as set out at on the YSF applications page.

The YSF organizers take all reasonable care in making arrangements. They reserve the right to modify the YSF programme, which is published as an indication only. The YSF organizers act only as agents in securing hotels, transport and travel services, and shall in no event be liable for acts or omissions in the event of injury, damage, loss, accident delay or irregularity of any kind whatsoever during arrangements organised through contractors. Hotel and transportation services are subject to the terms and conditions under which they are offered to the general public. You are solely responsible for making your own appropriate travel and other insurance arrangements regarding the YSF.

In the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by FEBS, HDBMB, SBD or Dekon, these parties shall not be responsible for any bodily injury, death or property damage (including theft) sustained by participants during the YSF.

In any event, neither FEBS nor HDBMB nor SBD nor Dekon accept liability for damages or costs in the event of bodily injury, death, property damage, disruption to travel plans and costs incurred as a result of events outside of the reasonable control of FEBS, HDBMB, SBD or Dekon, including (but not limited to) natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire or closure of airports.

All disputes are subject to resolution under English law.

FEBS uses income from the journals to fund its diverse activities, including support for the FEBS Congress.
